Hadith computational science in the age of large language models: a critical narrative review

This critical narrative review examines how hadith computational science is being reshaped by transformer models, retrieval-grounded pipelines, and large language models. It argues that progress in the field should be assessed not only through isolated benchmark performance, but through stronger evidence infrastructure, provenance, reproducibility, and expert supervision that better supports Islamic scholarship.
