Sharing the Russell Group’s Principles on Generative AI in Education. It’s short, sensible, and covers most of what matters—copyright/attribution, data privacy, bias/inaccuracy, and the exploitation of workers in the Global South.

Two gaps I’d like to see addressed in future updates:

  1. Environmental cost of AI — energy, compute, water.
  2. Misuse / dual-use risks — deepfakes, fraud, surveillance, militarisation.

Still, a solid baseline for Higher Education policy and staff development. Worth a read and a share:
